Above: Life-saving typography. The idea behind this type is that individual characters can be memorised. Tracing a line from the centre outwards along an unbroken curve reveals the code. Thin lines represent dots (or Dits) and thick lines represent dashes (or Dahs). By remembering the look of the letter A for instance you can very easily work out the morse code for that letter is a dot then a dash. An O would be three dashes as it is three thick lines; the letter P would be Dot Dash Dash Dot and so on. |
